News from
the Museum ...
As
winter approaches we are making plans at the Museum for
events, activities and displays that will keep our visitors
coming through the doors.
There will be a new painting on display at the Museum in
December, on loan from Littlehampton Museum. Painted by an
unknown artist, it is a view of a Rustington Mill, probably
‘The Post Mill’, that stood on the corner of Sea Lane and
Sea Road until it was removed in 1913. A
long awaited Exhibition on Sir Hubert Parry, Composer of the
well-known hymn ‘Jerusalem’ as well as many of the hymns
played at the Royal Wedding this year, will open at the
Museum in January 2012. Parry lived at Knightscroft House in
Sea Lane from 1880 until his death in 1918 and was the
subject of a documentary on BBC4 presented by HRH The Prince
of Wales in May this year. Jessica Petit -

Update from The Garden Café

A ‘BIG THANK YOU’ to everyone
who has supported our Fundraising Events this year. We raised £200.00 for the Great Poppy Day Event to commemorate the Royal British Legion’s 90th Birthday, and a fantastic £300.00 for the Macmillan ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’.
Jeannie, the team and myself look forward
to seeing you at YOUR community Café.
Merry Christmas!
